Not many of you are die hard college baseball fans with exception of Miss State, LSU and Maybe Florida and possibly A&M.....and, in very recent years Ole Miss, SC, ARK and Vandy appreciate how hard it is to win a regional , then a Super and making a CWS.
Ole Miss knocking out Miami in the regional was huge.
Auburn knocking out #3 Oregon State in the Super was just amazing. I am still stunned because OSU is freaking good!
Just one comment on Tennessee vs Notre Dame. While ND may not be as good this year as last ( they might be now peaking) I can honestly say that ND was the toughest team we played post season last year when we faced them in a super regional. They were fking good!
Everywhere you look in the Sec where teams advanced , there are huge upsets. The two blue bloods in the conference in LSU and MSU are sitting home this year which is rare. So the fact that neither of us are still playing yet we have the SEC still represented is a testament to how good our conference really is. Seriously , this is unreal.
PS: If anyone thinks MSU or LSU will be down for long, I have a rude awakening headed your way, soon. We know it and you know it. (Wink)
Anyway, hope an SEC team wins it all. I think A&M has a fking brutal bracket. They kinda got hosed if you ask me. But my team has had those too many times so we know the feeling. I think this is the first time in my life when my own team did not make the CWS , yet I am all into how this ends up. Good luck punks!

MSU had to many important pitchers get injured or we might have 5th SEC west team in the CWS.

All of our injuries were to pitchers, unreal. But I have to be honest, MSU recruiting is and always has been on site personal evaluation and Covid knocked that out. We apparently did not roll the dice as well as others did. That is just a fact and no excuses. But we will be back.

Bama had injuries as well to their top pitcher for the entire season. Prelipp should go first round in the draft. He could have been the difference in playing in the tournament and not. ONe of their other weekend pitchers missed a good portion of the SEC games. Jean was his last name.

I do believe I remember seeing Alabama with the top 10 baseball recruiting class from 2021 or 2022 which was a shock. You have a good hungry coach, and shite, the SEC just continues to get harder.

If Sims, Simmons, and Auger don’t get injured we definitely make post season. Dunno about CWS though

Add in Texas and Oklahoma as future SEC schools and this CWS is damn near an SEC invitational.

Losing Bednar and a ton of the best, deepest bullpen in the country certainly did not help. But to lose Sims and Simmons right out the gate, yeah, we knew we were fk'd and any MSU that bitched and made excused, (there were some) were total idiots.

ND can pitch, field and baserun very well, but we made them look better than they are. Our second game was the only game we played really lose against them and exploded for 12 runs.

he's like the white buffalo. I'd feel sorry for him if he wasn't about to be a millionaire

This AU team is built for tournaments. Elite D, bats that can reach those deep gaps and a gritty pitching staff. Gonna be a great CWS.
