I dont understand the logic of starting your ace on saturday/sunday. I noticed a few teams have been doing that this year. Anyone can fill me in on the strategy? Are they trying to concede the first game if they can for sure have 1 locked up?

Watched a tidbit on this and supposedly if you get by Friday night then it ups your chances and if you lose Friday it gives you momentum going into Sunday ! Sounds stupid I know

no. Astin and Killian(started last friday) have been much more solid than Stanek so far. honestly, I feel better when our bullpen is pitching than Stanek this year. Hopefully he breaks out of his funk today
