quote:

Begin with all teams set to an even rating -- 100 in this case. Then, for each game played, give each team the value of their opponent's rating plus or minus a factor for winning or losing the game -- 25 in this case. Total all of a team's results, divide by the number of games played, and that's the end of a cycle. Then use those numbers as the start of the next cycle until you get the same results for each team for two consecutive cycles.

Boyd's World used to be the go to college baseball ranking site before the world of analytics and rankings kind of exploded the last 3-4 years.

Go-to or not, that's just a hell of a good poll name.

Another example why Texas A&M was a useless addition to this conference

I guess losing to Florida 2 of 3 games in Tuscaloosa in softball doesn't matter. Facts be damned, Alabama is better because... well, because they wear Crimson and that is someone's favorite color? Or is it that y'all like fat girls in the Tuscaloosa pasture over pretty athletic ones wearing sunflower hair pins in Gainesville? I get Oklahoma being higher than both, but who is the 2nd team? Only OK is better than Florida and Alabama IMO.
