SEC baseball - individuals with ridiculous stats

I'm sure a lot of it is facing low competition, but there are some guys with video game numbers throughout the SEC.
SEC baseball stats
UGA has Condon and Tate hitting over .500.
Crews at LSU hitting .510 with a .648 OB Pct and 1.507 OPS
Caglianone at Florida - 77 total bases and 13 HRs already
Auburn with three guys batting over. 440
Some monster seasons underway.

The balls seem to be a little juiced. Ole Miss hasn't played a bad SOS and has like 3 players on pace to break Elko's single season HR record, including a 5'9" 180lb 2B.

I would take these early season stats with a grain of salt. Most everyone has been playing sub par competition so far. The next two weeks will give a more accurate picture.

There’s a lot of talk about umps across the board having a tighter zone. This could be the reason for the higher OBS and homers we’ve been seeing.

Multiple teams are averaging over 2 HRs per game right now.

I definitely think the balls are juiced. We have had several 450+ foot home runs and I’ve seen a lot of that around college baseball. Combine that with the tighter strike one and the offensive numbers are exploding

Are the strike zones accurate or not? If they tightened them up, but they are accurate then good.

It has been a very warm February and March in most of the SEC. Not a lot of game cancelations, and plenty of dry days for practice.

Well, if any of you want any of last years non-juiced balls, they can be found at Blue Bell Park. Our offense is still a major work in progress. Not looking forward to this weekend.
