Mississippi State will finish dead last. It's what the magazines and papers and sports writers say every year since my birth, so , law of averages have to be getting close?

Well Miss State has finished last 11 times since the SEC split into divisions. That’s in 1993, 1995, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2006, 2008, 2009, 2018, and 2020. 11 for 30.

Alabama at the top, Auburn at the bottom, and nobody has a clue in between.

We went 8-4 in 2018 on the field. But if you’re gonna count forfeited games and not on the field results then be consistent because Alabama forfeited all games in 1993 so they finished last that year. Either way, you have to take one off that list.

2009 and 2020 were Mullen and Leachs first years. So really you had 3 under Sherill and 4 under Croom which isn’t relevant today. 2 under first year coaches, and 1 vacated 8-4 season.

There is no reason to think a team returning 17 starters that finished 4th in the division last year finishes last this year. Auburn is a mess. OM will struggle without corral no matter what they think. Aggie will Aggie. LSU has a lot of rebuilding to do under a 1st year coach. Arky will be solid.

1. Alabama
2. Arky or MSU
4. Aggie
5. OM
6. LSU
7. Auburn

Well I do. Because that’s what the record book now states.

Does Ole Miss have a defense this season? Not sure if they can win many games with Dart and Zach Evans...

No, Bama forfeited all wins and ties Langham played in, finished 1-12 (0-8), dead last in the SEC West
