To me it’s either them or Mike Tirico and Tony Dungy.

Even though people didn't like his crying, theres no announcer I like better than Herbie

Also, I like the CBS crew more than most. Brad does a good job and Gary is the most observant color guy around. I know he can come across a little full of himself but I kinda find it funny knowing how many people he bothers.

Yeah, Herbie and Blackledge are the two best in the business

Agreed

Agreed... Only problem with CBS is that Gary gets stuck on a point and wont shut up about it. Nessler is great.

I am a big fan of Tom Hart, Rodgers and Cubelic

Would be nice to have a combo of Mark Jones and Beth Mowins calling SEC games.

Agree 100%, especially TB. Used to like his "Taste of the Town". Wish he was still on CBS.

Agree - also a good crew. Rodgers has really grown on me.

I like the CBS crew alot, even though Gary can be annoying.
Whenever I hear Sean McDonough, all I can think about is Sid Bream's slide in Game 7 of the 1992 NLCS, even though Skip Caray delivered the iconic call on Braves radio, McDonough gave the TV call. He is a very good play-by-play broadcaster.

I really like McDonough because he isn't afraid to call it like he sees it. He had the Oklahoma State/Tulsa game and was taking both teams to town for how awful they played.
ESPN really messed up taking him off of MNF. He was really good there and way better than Tessitore or Levy.

quote:Me too. At first, I thought he was just a pretty boy but his analysis is really really good. You can tell he spends a lot of time researching the teams he covers.
Rodgers has really grown on me.

Absolutely - "He isssssss SAAAAAAAAAFE."
Also, his voice cracking on huge calls is the best. That Michigan State/Michigan wild ending was the best of those.

Tessitore
I will always associate him with his ridiculous "TEXAS IS BACK, FOLKS" call after beating what would become a horrible Notre Dame team in OT. Obviously we didn't know how poorly both teams would do that season, but I knew that it was a ridiculous, sensational call at the time.

I can take/leave McShay McDonough ( they aren't bad by any means) but I do think Blackledge is the best in the business right now.

Fowler / Herbie and McDonough / Blackledge are really good. They don't make the games about themselves. The players and the teams playing are the focus. A lot of broadcasters try to make the broadcast about themselves.
Nessler is really great as well but Gary can not help himself. I really don't want to hear about Bama when they are not playing.
