Faking injuries is desperate. Lane is desperate to get out of Oxford. Makes sense.

It’s not desperate as much as it shows a lack of integrity. Basically like stuffing mailboxes with fake votes to win elections. People know it’s wrong, but don’t call them on it. They keep doing it because they know they won’t get called on it.
