Watching in slow motion, I think he thought he'd gotten it past the line, and just let it go. A bit of showboating that, well, is why you don't showboat.

Titled ripping defeat from the jaws of Victory.

The replay review was uncomfortably longer than the "back and to the left" scene in JFK

I'd be more pissed a the kneel and my kicker refusing to warm up.

I'm pretty sure he knew he wasn't past the line. I think he just lost control when trying to one hand it.

I'm unsure if he was trying to showboat or if he just trying to reach for the endzone since he was on the edge of the boundary.

This is us, this is Mizzzou. No one screws up more than we. We bring it on ourselves. We suck.

My only guess is that kickers don't have time warm up when it's an extra point. He was probably trying to not overthink it.

He never warms up and he's better than all your kickers

I was curious about that, too...and i was wondering if he normally warms up, or just got cocky?

Mizzou fans? Does he normally take a few swings along the sidelines into the net?

It seems as if he is normally money.

Didn't seem like showboating to me, just a very stupid and unnecessary decision to switch hands and extend the ball. It's something that mobile NFL QBs do all the time, but Peat seemed to forget that he is an undersized RB and not Josh Allen

Gloves on a hot day. They win if his heel was out of bounds. I knew the fumble happened prior to the end zone. Blame their coach when he had them first and goal from the two with a minute to go.

I want to see the size of his hands now.

I don’t think he was showboating. It appeared he was trying to stretch it to cross the plane before the defender got there. Should’ve kept two hands on it though.

No he wasn't; he was headed out of bounds and tried to get the ball over the goal line that's why he was switching hands.

Maybe he should try warning up.

Bottom line, it is in the running for dumbass play of the year. Two hands on the ball, fall down, run out of bounds all of those end with a Mizzou win. Cute, cool and showboating aint worth crap if you let go of the ball.

It's easy sitting on our couches to say this but in the heat of the moment trying to score the winning TD in OT, you do everything you can to score. shite happens.

Yeah. It's one of the dumbest ways to lose I've ever seen. Mizzou was going to have 4 tries from inside the one yard line. It's hard to hate on the kid since it's probably hard to think about that scenario when you bust through a hole that big and are running by guys.
