Bryan McClendon,

Great recruiter and WR coach, not sure about a proven OC though. Guess we will see.

Was sad to see him leave UGA

Werner is a great hire. Hate that we didn't keep him on staff in some way.

He's a risk. But you could argue not going with him and him walking away from the program is a bigger risk. He's been huge for our recruiting.

I think this sums it up pretty well.

Well that, and, could he be any worse than Kurt Roper?

He's 2-0 as OC in bowl games. He's also a great guy.

How was the play calling in the bowl?

1st half they got beat up pretty well.

The 2nd half was alot better.

The biggest change vs the regular season was in certain critical situations (after turnovers) the play calling was more aggressive.

First half was meh

2nd half it seemed like adjustments were made and we didn't look as conservative. After a turnover he called a play deep and it ended up getting us back in the game.

The Bentley throw to Bryan Edwards. Brought us back to a one score game

That’s a great hire as McClendon can lean on Werner some for advice as an OC.

Since Werner is again an on-field coach I wonder if the NCAA will give another waiver to let someone else on the staff recruit for him?

Was really hoping he wouldn't get promoted, wanted him at Tennessee.

Like other posters said the 1st half was rough, however, that was as much a function of dumbass turnovers as the playcalls themselves.

Now the adjustments that he made at halftime I was impressed with as little experience as he has had doing so.

Unlike Roper, BMac is the type that understands there is a lot of offensive knowledge around him with Veterans like Werner and Washington and even Bobby Bentley and will use them to his advantage. Roper was fricking Putin in the meeting rooms apparently. Didn't want or take any advice given. He made is own bed.

He turned Machine Gun Kelly into a competent QB. That says a lot about him.

Was he fired or did he step down for family reasons? I'm seeing articles suggesting both.
