Is the line an overreaction to the Muschamp firing or is there a burn it down mentality in Columbia?

A good Freeze can chill the coals anyhow

We only have like 50 players and will be playing OL on the DL and WR at DB

South Carolina had 4 what I believe are starters opt out. Missouri should win.

Unless it rains and South Carolina goes to the Senior backup QB who's never played meaningful minutes.

Wasn't the first game to do it this year.

Something bizarre will happen with this game. Something bizarre always happens when South Carolina and Mizzou play.

I just have zero expectation for this game. Both teams are down and nowhere near full strength

All you gotta do is hand the ball to Larry.

Good News for South Carolina fans!

Upset pick
Lyles: South Carolina over Missouri

I don't think South Carolina is going to be consistently better after coach Will Muschamp's departure, especially after a pair of opt-outs from cornerbacks Jaycee Horn and Israel Mukuamu. Against a bottom-tier SEC team like Missouri, though, perhaps the Gamecocks can pull off the victory. Games following coaching changes go either really well or poorly. I'm banking on well enough.

Our players are whining and crying about our loser of a coach that celebrated their mediocrity so I'd bet the farm on Mizzou. They were atrocious when playing for the coach they loved. Imagine the softness and ineptitude of the team without their arse patting coach

You know...I expected things would surface about Muschamp that might explain why the results had been such pure shite. I have to admit, tho, that the fact that he coddled these guys like they were fragile china with feelings surprised the hell out of me.

That would be our starting QB. We could only hope to go to one of our backups.

Missouri probably wins. This game has been extremely entertaining over the years though so hopefully we'll at least have that to look forward to.

wont be suprised if the coots win. MooseDump is a shitty coach and he not being there will be huge for the two an three star coot players.

Perhaps not firing the coach until after the season could have avoided the entire situation.

There is not a SC player that quits after this firing that doesn't believe that the University of SC quit first.

Yeah, but SC wanted to get ahead of the curve, first hog at the trough when it came to picking a new coach. FWIW, I like Muschamp as a person and think he did a lot of good for the program off the field. Those thing will build a foundation for the future. (Ie facilities and the roster is in WAY better shape than when he took over). But I, and many other fans lost confidence in his game day coaching abilities. I really wanted Coach Boom to succeed here. It just wasn't in the cards.

I get that. I understand the loyalty an 18-22 year old would see in their coach. He's like a father figure to many players. I'm sure Muschamp has had the players back many times. This is their chance to show they have his.

No matter what the players would have been upset. His firing was just an excuse to do what they wanted to do anyways which is "opt out" and start preparing for the NFL draft. This entire team is soft. It would have been the exact same reaction if the university fired him at the end of the year. At least this way the school can get a head start on the interview process on potential new head coaches.
