Rise and shine. I need a good dub today to help me get over this Correa to the Twins hangover.

Here's to hoping that we don't give up 19+ runs today

One of the biggest downsides to pro sports, which happens now in college thanks to the tranny portal.

6 years, 1 world title, and 3 pennants later. He was the face of the “Astroball” rebuild. I wish him luck, but the engine will keep on pumping. Astros ain’t going no where.

News and notes

-Ole Miss and Auburn have split the first two games and I can't wait to see what happens in the rubber match. Ole Miss has 20 hits, Auburn 29. Ole Miss pitching has walked 13 batters, Auburn 15. Auburn also has 7 errors in these two games, equaling the same number of errors they had all season (17 games).

Interested to see how Dollander does today. He’s been insane against really shitty teams but his Baylor outing has me worried. Once Tidwell comes back it’ll be either him or Beam losing a spot. Good time to prove yourself.

New and notes

Florida and Texas A&M are the only teams that squeaked out wins on the road yesterday, and I do mean squeaked.

-A&M trailed after 1 inning. A&M led after 2 innings. A&M was tied after 4 innings. A&M trailed after 5 innings. A&M led after 7 innings. A&M was tied after 8 innings. A&M won it in the 9th.

-Florida was cruising 6-1 after 8 innings on a gem from starting pitcher Hunter Barco with 8.0 IP, 4 hits, 1 ER, 0 BB, and 10k's. Then the ninth inning happened, and Bama scored 3 runs, and had the bases loaded with the tying run on 2nd base, but Florida was able to turn a double play and hang on for a 6-4 win.

So take those road conference wins any way you can get them because they are not easy.

Kingston's Gamecocks have continued a unwelcome trend from 2021 into 2022. just 2 of Carolina's 16 SEC wins in 2021 were friday/game 1s. Carolina was 14-6 in SEC games 2/3 last season.

Gamecock ace Will Sanders will try to turn the series to USC's favor today game 2 much like he did last week to help win the Texas series.

South Carolina will be running around the bases every time they get someone on base. Dollander is the worst pitcher in the country when it comes to controlling runners and having Russell behind the dish doesn’t help.

We’re starting Luke Wagner on the bump today. Typical Saturday starter Liam Sullivan is down with arm soreness (expected to return next week vs Kentucky).

Probably going to see both Wagner and Jaden Woods each go 3-4 innings today.

I just looked at the play by play and this made me laugh after I read your post.
