I was wondering why Sark kept passing up job opportunities and now we know why. Great move by Sark, but the reality is UT and OU are going to take some beatdowns early on because you're playing with the big boys every weekend. There is a huge difference between playing in the SEC and the other mediocre conferences like the Big 12 or ACC where the overall talent level is much less!

If they really wait out the Big 12 GOR to save money he might not be there by the time they go to the SEC.

You forgot to mention Alabama, LSU, Georgia, Auburn and Florida! Didn't say there weren't weaker teams in the SEC, but overall there is no comparison from top to bottom! Just sit back and watch and you will learn!

Very plausible.. reports now say the discussions have been going on since last summer.

Arch Manning having Texas as his only non SEC team on his radar at the time came to mind this week as well.

Depends on who you play in conference. Missouri didn’t step into a very tough schedule when they joined the SEC.

Missouri would like us to believe that immediately after stepping into the SEC their team improved dramatically but we know better.

Also depends on who you play OOC. We have tried to schedule tough OOC games most years.

Add those two factors in and you can have comparable or tougher SOS some years than some SEC teams.

And I’ll say again that it is ironic that A&M and Missouri fans think OU will lay an egg when they did very well early on with players recruited to play on the Big12.

We know year in and year out they were not on OU’s level yet they somehow had success.

Makes you wonder if they told Meyer and that is when negotiations went south and he decided he would rather go to the NFL than to have to face the media at media days again?
