You left out Mettsiah, that was the only thing holding them back from winning it all.

Let's look at Mettenberger and our 3 losses this year.
Florida game - Throws a beautiful pass to OBJ which would more than likely be the game winner and would be a HUGE boost to his confidence, getting a win at Florida after that shitty AU game. OBJ drops it.
METT'S FAULT
Alabama game - Plays out his absolute damn mind. Defense is whipping Bama's offense's arse after the half. You're in a position to win the game, just one more stop. Defense shits the bed, lets a true freshman RB take a screen pass 50 yards to the house.

Clemson game - Playing in a hard-to-get-up for type game where it's a lose-lose. You beat Clemson, congrats for beating the ACC. you lose, lol @ you losing to the ACC. Regardless, does enough to win at the end. 4 & 17, 4 & fricking 17 YARDS on the whole other side of the damn field. All you have to do is not let them get SEVENTEEN YARDS, and you win your bowl game and finish your season with 11 wins. What happens? Eric Reid gets turned into burnt toast, defense shits the bed again, and lets Clemson steal it away.

No one is denying that Mettenberger has shown flashes of brilliance. His play against Florida, with the exception of that pass to OBJ, was absolutely mediocre.
His one good game was against Alabama, and believe me that was a great game. He did everything he could to win that game for LSU, but the defense shite the bed on the final drive. Definitely not his fault.
But besides the Alabama game he was mostly average for the whole season. He'd throw some great balls here and there, but those were few and far between. I wouldn't say Mettenberger was a liability for LSU like JJ and JL were but he certainly wasn't a strength.

At least you proved your idiocy in the 1st sentence so I don't have to keep reading. Crowton did turn out to suck in the end, but in his first year the LSU offense set records and won a BCSNCG. There was no "continues to suck." It actually was really good for a while before Lee threw all of the INTs in '08. Then JJ became the starter and our offense went inside a shell.
