The main thing this tells us is how low the coaching staff's confidence level is for Joe Milton to be the guy next year.

Virginia Tech Hooker Stats:
2018-2020
2018- 1 rush TD
2019- 1,555 yds, 13TD’s 2int, 61.1%, 356 rushing yds, 5 rush TD’s.
2020-1,339 yds , 9TD’a 5ints, 65.3%, 620 rush yds, 9 rush TD’s.
UT Hooker under Heupel:
2021-2022
2021- 2,945 yds, 31TD’s, 3int’s, 68.2%, 620 rush yards, 5 rush TD’s
2022- 3,135 yds, 27TD’s, 2ints, 430 rush yds, 5 rush TD’s.
Just go back and look at what the QB’s auve done under Heupel. Another great example is Drew Lock. What did he do before Heupel and then Heupel comes along and he gets drafted. Dillon Gabriel is another one. Look at his and McKenzie Milton’s stats under Heupel and then what have they done since not being under Heupel. Heupel is. Difference maker with QB’s.

Wasn't this the QB that was out with herpes at the beginning of the season?

Didn’t Hooker come from the ACC?
Better question is where is he now?

I’m surprised, Milton looked good when he played. Has a cannon for an arm.

Nope. I seen that to. That’s why I started looking into it to begin with. I don’t like to take someone else “word” and run with it without doing my own research.

Who was the Wake kid that transferred to UGA for about 90 minutes before he decided to declare for the draft?

If true, then I hope he continues to play like he did the second half of this year.

Sounds like a good pickup.

Doesn’t matter. Heupel has showed he can take decent QB’s and turn them into All-Americans. Look at all the QB’s that played under Huepel when he was either HC or OC. Dillion Gabriel and Hooker are great examples.
Gabriel under Heupel:
7,223 pass yds, 51 TD’s, 11int’s in 2 years
3,739 pass yds, 33 TD’s, 9int’s, 2 years after Heupel.
Hooker before Huepel 2018-2020
2,894 passing yds, 37 total TD’s, 7ints
Hooker under Heupel 2021-2022
6,080 pas yds, 68 total TD’s, 5int’s,

Wouldn’t count on it just yet. He’s projected 4-6 round right now. If he comes and play 1 year for Huepel and has a Hooker type year then he goes 1st or 2nd round.
