If I were in his shoes and just HAD to be back on the field, I'd go volunteer as a defensive assistant at a high school. Just enough to quench the thirst for football, but you could also take the day off if you wanted.

Yup. A lot of coaches will… but you’ll never hear that here.
Alabama hired a coach like a cobras strike, quick and lethal… Lsu will take PsU and Fla, sloppy seconds and right now they’re trying to convince themselves that a coach from Tulane is their Saban. frick Lsu… they deserve this…

The fact that Altie is still allowed to post is amazing.

I think he needs to run a B&B. Or maybe open an insurance agency.

LSU occasionally crossed his mind before the firing of Kelly. Now, he thinks about what is happening at his alma mater more often but he doesn't know if his has enough energy left to do another coaching gig.
LSU is not his Alma mater..

You seem to be a conspiracy theorist of some type; that is my theory.
Let me tell you this. If Saban were to ever come back to LSU, the STTDB chant will have to be permanently ended. He has said many times, among friends, that he and Mrs. Terry find that chant to be vulgar and lacking class.
Are LSU fans ready to eliminate one of their only traditions in order to lure Saban back? I doubt it.

If he wanted to, Saban could turn a urinal cake business into a Fortune 500 company. Dude was born to win.

Go argue with ya momma, Altie.

In addition to LSU fans imagining things that aren't real, they don't seem to be willing to make even the smallest sacrifice to get Saban back.
I mean, damn, agreeing to stop talking about sucking dicks, at every game, would be a small price to pay to get back the greatest coach that ever lived.
No matter how ingrained dick sucking is in Cajun culture and LSU lore, it seems a price that could be paid.

Okay, sure, rewrite history to give yourself some solace. Any LSU fan with even a small amount of self-awareness knows full well that Saban left LSU to coach at Alabama.
That's why all of you were so upset when Saban arrived at Bama, none of you could believe he had betrayed the fanbase in that way.
It was personal and it hurt, bad.

This kind of situation never ends well. SABAN is the goat but just stay retired. Belgic heck is making a fool of himself

This has been another concern for Saban that he has deeply thought about in the last few months since Belichick has been floundering at No. Carolina.
He thinks that LSU isn't much different that North Carolina and he could find himself in the same type of situation his good friend finds himself in.
His ego tells him it would not happen to him but, his mind tells him it could, especially if the team he chose to go back to was LSU.

Anyone who thinks Saban is entertaining thoughts of returning to coaching is smoking crack or an LSU fan. Saban has a dream life with a net worth of $200 million. He's still involved in the game and respected universally for his intellect, coaching skills, and leadership.

In that case if he isn’t completely confident in himself then he should not return to coaching. LSU needs and deserves a hungry coach

He's confident in the instances where other coaching jobs have become available. In LSU's case he feels that, in many ways, the team is irredeemable and can't be fixed by anyone, ever.
