I don't buy that.

He's not going to be able to play with a stacked deck forever. I think even Saban has come to realize this.

Even Bama's successes seemed wear on him this season. He looks tired. Monday night he looked tired and defeated DURING the game.

He doesn't have much of that treasured focus left.

So he realizes the effects of....

LSU

And fair officiating

There is actually a possibility that he never wins another NC.

That's not how his mind works. He expects adversity. He is one tunnel visioned SOB. He (and other effective leaders) don't look at new challenges or obstacles and become intimidated.

As to never winning another championship, that's certainly possible. Winning them always involves some luck or a slip by someone else. There's certainly more threats but Bama hasn't lost more than one SEC game in a season since 2010. It's not like he doesn't have a stacked roster.

Rumors of his demise are vastly overstated. (Unfortunately)

I agree.

He is not going to retire anytime soon.

Actually, I hope he doesn’t.

With an even playing field, the post season pressers will get more interesting.

How will he handle not winning a NC again.

How will he handle not making it to the final four?

How will the Bama fans handle it.

Bama fans and many others think he and Bama will bounce back and win the NC next year.

What if he doesn’t?

Next season will answer many questions.

ou guys are like hyenas.

You think this would break Saban? 14-1? He’s faced worse.

Saban is perhaps the most mentally tough, focused coach ever. He is focused and working his arse off right now.

Nobody said he was broken. But Father Time is calling and I think he might not want to deal with the B.S much longer. With a new coach, you have other coaches on staff to show the new guy the ropes without having Saban to be patient. With a pretty much totally new staff, Saban will have to do the dirty work. That gets old as you get older.
