Made me LOL that maybe the most important man in college sports threw an opening pitch and it looked like a empty house.

He did, he came up a little short.

He threw a cutter in the dirt, but had decent velocity behind it. That purple sweater was pretty fly.

I know it's raining, but there are 60 people there.

It's baseball. Until the NCAA decides to level the playing field (lottery scholarships), no one in the state of Alabama is going to give a shite.

Yeah I bet you wouldn't be saying that shite if y'all were actually good, like y'all were in the 90s.

That still wouldn't get me interested.

Les Miles would fake an opening pitch and throw a pick-off play instead.

I'm pretty sure that Louisiana and Florida are the only states in the SEC that had lotteries providing scholarships during most of the 90's. Everyone else got going in the late 90's and 2000's.

Dude…I didn't even know Alabama had a baseball team until I heard on the radio one day in either 1996 or 1997 that our team was going to the College World Series.
There would be some interest if the team was good but I highly doubt you would see the same passion you get for the sport at second tier SEC athletic programs such as South Carolina and Arkansas.
