I love how every time this "debate" comes up to hear/read LSU fans talk about it you would think that they beat the piss out of UA in 2011 in the regular season and that Bama scraped by on luck in the NCG. I mean seriously...LSU was lucky as shite to win that game. Bama had to miss 5 field goals to make that happen. Now granted, that is embarrasing as hell for Bama and Bama fans and they certainly deserved to lose the game as a result. If you can't get that done then you deserve to lose the game. But the hyperbole that LSU was somehow that much greater and infinintely more deserving of a title shot is ridiculous. If LSU was an absolute no brainer as deserving to be in the NCG (which they were 100%), then how can you say that Bama was not given the way that regular season game went? How much freaking closer to deserving can a team get? To say that OKST was more deserving is basically saying that they would have beat LSU in that reg season game. How can two teams that played a game that damn close be eons apart in the "deserving" category? Especially when you are comparing to a team that lost to a 6-7 POS loser squad? All of this crap about having their chance already is whinny pussy shite for people who are scared of having to prove their worth and knew they were lucky as shite to have won the first time and terrified of exactly what happened in the NCG. Whinny arse bitches.

Silly me. I thought the job of the BCS was to put the #1 and #2 teams together in a bowl game.

Why can't y'all talk about the philosophy of this outside the construct of the 2011 season?
That's the system that you agreed to play under. I really don't know what else to say.

but we should be looking at best wins first then go to losses IF WE DON'T HAVE ONE TEAM THAT IS CLEARLY BETER.
And the truth shall set you free.
BAMA was clearly better.

Doesn't make what I said any less true.

We will as soon you LSU fans admit that Bama deserved to be in the game and were the better team that year and apologize for all the crying and then quit crying about playing UF every year.

If you lose to a bad team in the 10th game of the season, almost ANY season you're out of the running for the title.

I don't agree that the 10th week should be considered any more relevant than the first week.

Again lets take 2011 partisanship aspect out of this (bama did what they had to do and took advantage if their opportunity, good for them) and talk about the philosophy of the decision making process that is used because this is going to be a big thing going forward with 4 slots instead of 2.

Philosophy Board.

I agree with him. Transitioning away from the ostensible objectivity of the BCS rankings towards a selection committee is full retard. Do the 4 team playoff and select the top 4 teams as rated by the BCS. Not sure why we're changing to allow bias to factor in to the selection. You'll inevitably have a 11-1 Michigan team beat out a 11-1/10-2 South Carolina team simply from name recognition. If the BCS was used, USCe would be ranked 4 and Michigan 6, but since we can't have a successful Michigan team left out, the committee will frick over USCe.

It was the voters not BAMA, or BAMA fams. Really everybody in the country new Bama was one of the best 2 teams in the country, and that is who is supposed to be in the game. Turns out clearly THE best in the country.
