Than almost every opponent so far this year. Is he just flaming the fire?
I read it on the internet so it must be true.

I mean, is he wrong?
The closer game we had at halftime before 10-10 was 16-0 at LSU and 21-0 vs MSU.

I can’t disagree. Stats are stats and they don’t lie.

Yeah that was it. It was their “fight” not that Bama played like shite for the first half.

Yes, of course.
That game had nothing to do with Citadel's "fight" and everything to do with Bama's lack of fight. He obviously says stuff like that to respect his last opponent, but it's frankly ignorant to believe it. I imagine none of you do, but you see it as an opportunity to troll other fans on here. I hope anyway.
If Bama had played as if it was an important game or significant opponent, they could have scored 100 in the first half.

Actually it had to do with both. The Citadel's "fight" is why they were able to get 3-4 yards per carry and control the ball for all of the 1st half. Our defense was there most of the game it just took time for them to adjust and Citadel played their guys out on offense. Once we got comfortable we shut them down and got the ball back a bunch and obviously scored.

I mean we had 4 possessions. So 100 points would have been tough. I honestly think it took the defense 1-2 quarters to get comfortable with the triple option. So, if the offense had been zoned in, I think halftime is something like 24-3, maybe 24-10.
The offense (including the staff) was clearly not all zoned in early, but I honestly didn't feel that way about the defense. And because of the ball control our offense, even at max capacity, only would have had 4 times to score.

We tried telling you they were a good team.

You didn't tell them, you showed them

I don't know what you're talking about.

Alabama had 2 fumbles in the first half. One was 100% caused by The Citadel.
It wasn't really a case of Alabama playing like shite.
It was more of a case of option teams eat the clock and an unwillingness of Alabama to practice against perimeter cut blocks the week before the game.
It was better for their players to learn to play against it live than to risk injury in practice.

Bama was dragging arse, like many heavily favored teams do at 11am against nobody teams after a few tough games, but if that's your stance,

I mean, I'd probably equate it more to dragging some arse + playing a funky scheme + the other team getting after it.
If they were just a normal ole 1AA team that ran the shotgun spread or something it wouldn't have mattered how much we cared, it would have been 24-0 at halftime or something. The triple option thing is just the perfect equalizer when all those other factors you mentioned are also in play.

Any offense that isn’t seen very often can be difficult. Triple option is very disciplined for the defense. If you know your assignment then it’s not so bad.

A team with a quick passing attack is Bama's weakness! LSU and Miss St just don't have it!

Hrs just trying to make the Citadel feel good.
Showing respect for the military academy.

People are correctly giving Citadel credit for playing hard and having a good strategy.
But the result of the 1st half was almost entirely Alabama's own fault. Alabama looked like the walking dead in the first half. I've never seen a team so flat and lifeless.

Being tied 10-10 with a team that was favored by 50+ points might be the most embarrassing thing I have seen all season..... Bama came out at halftime fired up though!!!!!!!

Oklahoma of all teams should understand the perils of playing talent overmatched triple option teams.

More embarrassing than almost losing to Army?
