*He repeatedly told any media type who would listen in November and December of 2006 and early 2007 these exact words: "I don't know how many times I have to tell you guys, I am NOT going to be the next Coach at Alabama."
(Of course, he said the same thing to the Louisiana media in December of 2004 when Wayne Huizenga landed his helicopter on Saban's Highland Road home and begged him one last time to come to Miami - a decision his wife says was made against her wishes.) And on CHRISTMAS DAY, 2004, he remarked to reporters as he drove off 'Love them Tigers."
*He was recently quoted within the past few months stating "my biggest mistake was leaving Baton Rouge."
