No doubt LSU would have a least 3 to 5 more national championships if Saban stayed.

I am glad Saban is getting inducted into the LA sports hall of fame because he deserves it and we are still benefiting from his tenure. That said, I cannot wait for the day we break the streak and he retires.

Amen.

For rational people it isn't. Fans of college football to the point of coming here daily don't tend to be the most rational in regards to ex-coaches that have gone on historic runs.

He earned the right to be in the HoF and am happy that he is getting that recognition.

That being said, I hope we take out 7 years of losses on him come this November.

LSU...has Saban made all of you feel THAT insecure?

Hasn’t made us insecure at all, but if you think about how everything went down from our perspective it’s about as frustrating and disappointing scenario you can have as a sports fan.

Some of our fans haven’t handled it well, which would be the case at any school in the country that cares about their team.

I must admit that this moment felt really good:

No, he is just an internet troll. A decent size of his existence on this site is to get LSU fans worked up. Responding to it just keeps him going.

I've been posting here for a long time. I know what texag7 is all about. He is extremely jealous of LSU and the only thing that makes him feel better is to dickride Bama. Responding or not responding will make no difference. He will still see LSU being a better program than A&M every day and will not be able to resist posting something incredibly stupid here to try and cope with it.

Because, while close, it isn't quite accurate. It wasn't like Saban decided to just look around the college football landscape for a job, Alabama went after him HARD and made him an offer he couldn't refuse.

The bottom line is that Saban at Alabama is more a testament to the determination of the Alabama AD to not just land a championship level coach, but to land Nick Saban specifically. It's not so much about Saban looking around for a college job and pitching himself to Alabama.

LSU would have at least 3-4 more national titles if Saban had never left.

The context is regretting leaving CFB.

This is why I don’t carry the hate for Saban like a lot of people do. He didn’t leave LSU to frick us. And he didn’t take the Bama job for that either. It was the best job available at the time. Miles had just won the NC, so there was no way they were going to give him the boot.

I hope LSU whoops his arse every single year. But I don’t hold this personally against him.

I don’t k ow that he would have had the same success at LSU or Ohio State or ND had he stayed in CFB. JMO but I think scratching that itch and him understanding what he is made him the coach Bama has. If he had stayed in college I don’t know if he has the kind of continued success he has been able to enjoy. Sometimes the mistakes we make and learn from make us better individuals.
