I guess my view is not who their very first job was under, but who gave them a big break/trained them. I know it's subjective, which is why I started the thread.

Will Muschamp will be the best HC by far out of that group. He's going to be incredible with the Gators. And Mark Dantonio might be the most underrated coach in CFB today.

Considering his longest stint with a single coach was Saban for 5 seasons, in which he got his first BCS level position and coordinator job, I'd say he belongs under Saban...

I agree. Texas was a fool to let him get away. I wonder more what UGA fans think about an alumni leading them...

At least set a timeline for transition.

I'm sure Mack would have appreciated that.

Saban is an outstanding coach. Why would you be upset for Bama fans praising him?

Yes it is. Why would you get all upset and butthurt over fans praising their head coach who happens to be one of the best in the country?

Your school just won a Heisman and you are obsessing over Saban?

8 posts out of 36 are about Saban, so am I missing this "suckfest"? God forbid people talk about Saban in a thread titled "Saban Coaching Tree"...

fwiw the frank broyles coaching tree is probably the best of all time, although saban can give it a shot to catch up. His assistants are winning the broyles awards a lot after all.

Saban don't know shite about offense. How can you take a Heisman winner and not make him a # 1 sec pick the next year? How can you lead 24-0 and lose. Where was his great defense then. Jimbo ran the offense at LSU. Muschamp was a pawn with Saban running the defense. Muschamp coached at 7 schools in 12 years. He is not nor ever been a head coach. Did Saban train them to be head coaches one day ? Saban got no tree monkies from me......
