I don't know Caj frick, you got me. But I do believe Bama didn't need to be built up like LSU when Saban took over which is why the turnaround was so fast.

I think you are a perfect example of the "over-glorifying" of Saban at LSU that I'm taking about.

He did an amazing job turning LSU from giant in a coma to a powerhouse. But Miles improved on what Saban only started. Had Saban stayed I don't think that they would be the winner of multiple more titles

I do. I think they win it either in 05 or 06 or maybe both. Saban had those 2 teams loaded.

I tend to agree. But I think in 2006 he could have been the difference we needed. That was a VERY talented team and while I love Les I do think the Auburn gameplan was very flawed. Not sure Saban could have done anything about the UF game but if we beat Auburn we're in the SECCG and the way we were playing at the end of the year i think we beat them and smack tOSU.

Saban had 05 and 06 Lsu set up for a incredible run. I know Katrina fricked Lsu in 05, but with Saban there I think they beat Tennessee and are off on an amazing run. I dont know how Less blew that 06 Auburn game.

Nah, brah. No one is over glorifying Nick Saban it's called reality.

I think he probably beats Tennessee but loses the Arizona State game the week before so it wouldn't have mattered.

c'mon? Miles and co won that game on a JaMarcus special throw. You sayin the same couldn't have been done with ole Nick standing on the sidelines?

I know. Just sayin. Can't believe he thinks they would have lost to ASU under Saban. I know one thing, a Saban defense wouldn't have collapsed against a backup QB who couldn't play at LSU but did for Tennessee.

The 06 offense was staaaaccckkkeedddd. But I'm not sure if Jamarcus Russell was a QB to win it all. He had some pretty boneheaded plays at times (not as bad as JJ). Tennessee game comes to mind, whichever year that was. I lost money on that game

I'm not even an LSU fan and I get frustrated at times how a good QB/OC would have made LSU untouchable in a couple of recent years.

We whiffed big time on QB recruiting a couple times. We had a good shot at McCoy and Tyler Wilson.
