Only one way his comments make sense. Last thing he wants is to lose his competitive advantage and have “equal competition”.

Imagine a Texas fan having the audacity to accuse another program of wanting a competitive advantage.
I respect Saban and Alabama because if they acted like Texas has historically, there would be uneven revenue sharing in the SEC, with Bama taking the lion's share, there would be a Tide TV Network instead of an SEC Network, and penalties would be instituted for any perceived derogatory hand gesture made by the opposing team during a Bama game.

No, your comments make absolutely no sense. Saban is referring to NIL being the same.
Where in the written rules of the NCAA handbook does it specifically speak of Bama being given advantages not privy to other schools? People always say "oh, Saban has an advantage".. OK, show me where its at. Not some referee bullshite or the SEC office. A written rule that benefits Bama that no one else has. Same was said about Bryant, Oh he signed 100 players a year, yea, and so could everybody else at that time. Thats not an advantage, that CREATING an advantage through your own actions that are the same for everybody. Not Bryants fault other schools didn't do it.
