We were 6 yds from being there... 3rd and 10, Hill rushed for 4 yds. Alleman missed a FG on 4th. Bama was out of TO's. A first down and the game was over.

There were quite a few teams better than Notre Dame this year. Why did the BCS make this match-up this season? Vandy would have provided more competition than ND di last night.

In all seriousness though, he's right. The elite teams shouldn't be punished by having to play in the conference championship once the playoffs start. Pretty sure that's what he means by sneaking in. And before some LSU fan says it, it's completely different than last year. Alabama was the second best team.

Oklahoma state begs to differ. If not winning your division or conference doesn't meet the definition of sneaking in, I am not sure what is.

becuase they were undefeated, just like LSU was last year. being the only team undefeated earned them the top spot. And from there, it's just the next best one loss team, which this year, just like this year, was alabama.

But saban here is saying that conferences who don't have a championship game shouldn't get an unfair advantage when the playoffs start. Completely different and spot on IMO.

LSU was only two yards away from beating Clemson.

Other than the Florida game and the OOC rent-a-wins, pretty much the story of our season was leaving the door open in the 4th quarter by not finishing drives that would have put the game out of reach.

I laugh about it only to keep from going insane.

It is what it is.

I thought all the Saban and Alabama fans weren't for Conference champions only. Sounds like Saban thinks the conference championship should be the first round or he wants to eliminate and go back to co sec champs (how much would that suck?).

Btw, I always thought it should be top 4 conference champs. In a 4 team playoff you should never see 2 in same conference unless other teams have at least 2 losses and you only have 1. - Notre Dame not in a conference, so they can be excluded every year after that punked job last night.

Even Bama's coach chants "S-E-C". Don't hate, we do this for each other my SEC Brethren.
