Y'all were three pages in before I showed up. And for every one of my posts, there are about 5-6 from insecure Georgia fans. You can't even enjoy another title, because you know.

Damn this an awesome melt!!!

It’s simple. It was a legal hit to separate the WR from the ball. It was a hard hit but clean. The OB play bucks are crying about was corrected as it should have been. The ball carrier wasn’t out of bounds and reached for the line to gain. Georgia won. Stop crying.

Whats funny is the receiver.

1) he stepped out of bounds
2) he alligator armed the catch. The defender didn't jar the ball lose. It was dropped before contact.

I hate that he got hurt. Because of that, we have to listen to years of excuses from buckeyes.
But the play was a fail about 5 ways over for the buckeyes (lastly because it wasn't targeting despite the crying).

Pretty easy. I saw what the official on the field and countless others saw.

And no, that wasn’t targeting.
That's one opinion. Others disagree.
We've got a problem here. On the one hand, we have a ruling from the officials that the hit was not targeting, so in at least one sense (and the only one that matters in the end), it wasn't targeting. No ifs, ands, or buts about it. It went down in history as NOT targeting.

On the other hand, we have the perception of targeting by some (mostly those who wanted it to be targeting, it seems) who think that the hit met the requirements. Perception certainly can vary, but ultimately that doesn't matter.

Since others have gone through the trouble to show that the hit didn't qualify as targeting from a rules perspective, I won't bother, especially since you won't be persuaded by anything. I'll just say that it was not targeting because the replay booth said it wasn't targeting, and that's how the play went down in the books.

Arguing about it now is pointless.

"Semantics" is something people say when they're on the losing end of an argument and have run out of points.

I'm correct. You could've just said that and saved some time.

Indeed.

That hasn't happened, because there's been a refusal to accept the subjectiveness of the call.

Displaced, how many more years will the sucknut faithful bitch and moan about this call??

Why do the sucknut faithful have so much trouble comprehending and understanding the rules of the game?

I can only speak for myself. The number of threads I start about this will be exactly what it is now...Zero.

I'll move on as soon as insecure Georgia fans do. But if they want to keep running their mouths, I'm OK with that too.
