Wasn't there a certain fanbase that shooed off Greg Schiano when it was rumored he was about to be hired by said school?

It doesn't matter because it won't hold up.

Schiano would have been a great hire by Tennessee, regardless of the fact Rutgers won't finish in the top 50 in recruiting rankings.

Schiano would have been fired here, maybe he makes it longer than Pruitt but the end result would be the same. Anyway who gives a frick about vol football.

They ended up hiring Jeremy Pruitt which turned out to be a dumpster fire. Instead of extinguishing the fire they decided to pour gasoline over it and hired Josh Heupel.

Because he wasn't a good enough recruiter and now they have Josh Heupul.

It was way more fun running him off than it would’ve been enduring the 5+ years of Greg Schiano here.

We are not winning anything anyways in this dead sport so wgaf

Schiano was just what Tennessee needed. A competent program builder who could have at least stabilized things and built a foundation after years of instability and incompetence.

Instead the clay Travis brigade decided they wanted play armchair AD.

Tennessee is a more offensive and malignant version of Nebraska. Vanishingly relevant and flailing in its determination to remain a power. But nope. Ain’t happening

You’re from Tn: nothing you say will ever matter. At least you’re not Vandy. But then again, at least Vandy has academics.

Nothing says stable program builder like a guy who was blackballed from the NFL.

What does the NFL have to do with college football?

Meh. The majority of their recruits are 3 stars. Compare their average to other teams in the top 15.
