a first round playoff game. Winner is in loser is out.
It does makes perfect sense logically. At 2 losses LSU would definitely be the #4 seed if they made it, and Georgia is the undisputed #1 seed going into it as of now. So that game representing essentially “round 1a” makes perfect sense.

Might depend by how much too, if LSU wins a thriller hard to dispute UGA going too. If LSU beats them by 20+ and OSU/UM goes into triple OT, UGA just might be on the outside looking in.

So they are saying nobody has a chance to beat UGA.

I bet they won't consider Michigan - Ohio St a first round playoff game.

You have a link, or did you read it in a magazine?

I know losing the final game doesn't look good, but thumping Oregon and Tenn and being the returning champs and being the #1 team most of the season has to carry a lot of weight.
I think UGA is already in unless something really crazy happens.

Michigan-Ohio St is a regular season game. SEC Champ game is a postseason game. Which naturally aligns it more with the playoffs.

So a 1 loss UGA that beat the living hell out of 1 loss Tennessee would be left out for Tennessee?
Makes sense.
Makes sense.

Most likely

barring a regular season loss, uga is in.

UT at UGA was a playoff too.

Everyone assuming UGA not getting in automatically means Tennessee gets in.
Not so fast my friend. Very possible but not a sure thing. CFP is wrestling with their decision making process, some think change is in order given the rapidly changing landscape of college football going forward.

If UGA loses and isn’t in the playoff, the BCS needs to come back. frick everyone in that room.
