Rules that would make college basketball more watchable

Defensive 3 second rule would get my vote. Big reason why the NBA has never been more popular. I saw some dork from Texas stand in the lane for 16 consecutive seconds the other night. Defensive 3 second rule is the only path forward for college basketball imo.
The floor spacing in college basketball is awful and the court is too clogged up. Nothing against Alabama, but trying to watch Alabama run its half-court offense is torture. The other teams aren't much better.
Until they get a defensive 3 second rule, college basketball will continue to be an afterthought and just fart around and only be relevant for a few weeks in March, and get the same ratings as Xena Warrior Princess and Vanderpump Rules.
...Also the other big one are all of the TV timeouts. College basketball games are already too disjointed and choppy and all of the TV timeouts make it worse. Once you figure out that there's a TV timeout at every multiple of 4, you start seeing them coming and dreading them. Almost impossible not to change the channel or stand up and doing something different.

Remove basket interference. They don't call it anyway.

Officials must have at least a minimum amount of training each year. It’s gotten ridiculous.

Defensive 3 second rule
I definitely don't want this.
For me, they need to turn the clock back 25 years and require the defense to be in great guarding position to draw a charge.

Do away with the five minutes it takes to shoot a foul shot. First five fouls, give other team 1 point and the ball out of bounds. After 5 fouls, give 2 points and the ball. After a player gets 5 fouls he is ejected.

So no foul shots?

Umm....

Sounds legit, I say go for it.
All the time it takes screwing around at the free throw line is something else that takes the rhythm out of a basketball game.

So people would be looking to get fouled instead of looking to score.... sounds like a great improvement.

^^^Or only shoot free throws in the last 2 minutes of the game. You'd get the same late-game effect without all of the stoppages in action and lapses in the game. Theoretically, free throws make the sport more difficult to watch and make people more likely to change the channel.

Screw that. Free throws can make or break a team. Part of the game. Biggest thing is reducing tv timeouts. Have them at 15 10 & 5 or just at 10

If your last name is Higgins, you are banned from officiating any game involving an SEC team.

Reduce the number of timeouts, trying to watch the end of a game shouldn't take 4x longer than the game its self.
Allow the game to become more physical, to many fouls are being called. Heck, allow it to become more physical and lower the number of fouls needed to be thrown out of the game. Let the players police themselves.

Just because Georgia sucks arse at basketball doesn't mean people aren't watching it.

LSU went toe to toe with The Cats in Rupp. It was a missed call but can’t we agree LSU equally deserved to win the game?

1. Get rid of the court, play on grass.
2. Make field of play 120 yards long with an endzone 10 yards deep on each end.
3. Get rid of the baskets and put in goal posts.
4. Allow each team to play 11 players.
5. Instead of scoring two or three by putting a ball in a basket, just score six by putting the ball in the endzones.
6. Give 3 points if you can kick through the goalposts from any distance.
