Since a few misguided teasips enjoy going down memory lane to A&M’s loss on the road twenty-one years ago to the horns’ daddy, #1 Oklahoma, let’s revisit ROUT 66!!
The worst loss by a Texas team since 1904!
AT HOME! Ranked #11
Texas was DEFENDING BIG 12 CHAMPS!!
They were losing 38-0 AT HALF to an unranked 0-2 UCLA in Austin, when their “fans” left in droves, booing as reported by media.
A&M was a bad, hapless team in 2001 playing on the road vs #1 OU.
But for the worst beatdown in college football history, it will ALWAYS be ROUT 66!
