How's that Madonna album your boyfriend bought you holding out?
OK, maybe you aren't all THAT bad.

Worse. My friend told me I'd change my mind if I "listened to Cornell just once, brah." Some things, you can't unhear.

Laziness produced the catalog of music that Jerry Garcia created, the side projects, and the non stop cross country touring the Grateful Dead did for 25+ years. The man played more concerts and wrote more music than just about anyone in music ever and you're going to say he was lazy?

Why don't you just call him a junkie? At least then you would be accurate. Instead you just act like you don't know what you're talking about.

On the SEC rant no less.

I'm sorry you don't like good music. Just for reference, who do you enjoy listening to?

Not the team affiliation I was hoping for, but I'll take it. Love the "just don't get good music angle." Couldn't be because I think 15 minutes noodling in the same key between scarlet and fire is boring as frick. Or that I think someone who takes a guitar solo should actually be able to play with some kind of energy. Or that I think every Bobby tune is the worst song I've ever heard. Or that the fans, who are always high, stupid, and painfully unitiated in any music besides the Dead or the plauge of jambands they left us with, only reaffirm my opinion that the band fricking sucks. Nope, it's because I hate good music.

And your friend was right, mostly Madonna. She's pretty great, no?

Really tried to work this in the first time, what with it being true and all, but I needed to work in fat and dead and it seemed like it would've been a little wordy.

This is all your personal opinion. Just because you don't like it, does not mean that it is not good.

This is just fricking stupid on your part.

Well, its clear that you don't know how to at least appreciate it.

The mention of Madonna during this argument is putting the image of Bobby wearing the pink Madonna shirt in my head.

Im willing to bet that I and most other jam band fans listen to a much wider array of music than fans of other genres.

By the way, it is funny that this discussion popped up in this thread, because I walked into the class that I am in right now, and my teacher had a video of GD performing "Throwing Stones" from '87 playing before class.

Hell of an argument there. Especially considering our favorite bands generally encompass multiple genres such as blues, rock, jazz, country , folk and bluegrass. While Also excelling in improvisation.
