Another way to have it not be a distraction? Sign him to the deal before the tournament. This guy will be fired in 3 three years. Good old recency bias at work again. Athletic Director Pimp Glasses didn't really want him.

Why the frick would we do that? If he goes 1 and done, we're stuck with him. His season was literally a tryout for the job, and the tournament was the biggest piece of the puzzle.

This was the best move for texas, imo. He earned a shot at the job and in today’s climate it would have been a bad reflection on the school if they didn’t give him a chance. No one wants that type of publicity.

keeps the 2 5 star signees in the fold. Terry also did most of the heavy lifting in recruiting even when Beard was here. Should be able to recruit the portal well

CDC nailed the Beard situation and doubled up on hiring Terry. Idk if it will show up in the wins column or in March, but both were 100% the right decisions.

Best AD we have ever had imo.

Del Conte has done better than your most recent ADs for sure but you think he is your best AD ever? Not sure the three major sports would reflect that right now. Beard hire was a no brainer no matter who the AD was, he is an alum.

Pretty obvious that they were flirting with someone who turned them down in the end

Damn, I was secretly hoping McMahon was gonna tell them yes.

The going line is Sark wasn't his hire. CDC wanted Dykes, but was overridden by boosters. Hopefully they get out of his way next time, but I doubt it.

Pierce was already at Texas when CDC was hired and has 3 trips to the CWS since being hired in 2016.

His softball and women's basketball hires have been very good -- granted our WBB shite the bed this year.

Good coach.

He looks like a relative of Spike Lee.

He earned the job, but I don't see this panning out long term.

My sauces say they were all in on Wade but he chose McNeese instead so they removed the interim tag on Terry

Good news. I was hoping he’d get a genuine chance. Defense (on-ball & help) really stepped up when he took over.

Nah. He looks exactly like the dude that owned a chicken joint in Breaking Bad. lol

One thing about this new coach, the players absolutely love him. Local news did a story last night that was pretty awesome, talking to their team and senior players. Those guys really took to him after Beard had to leave.

That being said, horns down.

The Longhorns have made the CWS 48% of the time since 1950. So he needs to make it again this year to stay on track.
