I do beg your pardon. The Allman Brothers are from Florida. Duane and Gregg were raised in Daytona, and Dickey in Bradenton. The band officially formed and got their start in Jacksonville.
Yes they really took off in Macon, but damn we still claim them.

New Orleans Ladies is a classic and one of their lesser known songs, "Roll Away The Stone" is one of my favorites.

Nope.
When The Allman Brothers Band came to fruition, they weren't of any place in particular, but set up shop in Macon once they accumulated all the pieces - Greg from L.A., Duane from Muscle Shoals, Jaimoe from Memphis & Dickey and Berry from Florida.
Jacksonville can take credit for the Allman Joys, but not ABB.
