I believe he stated he didn't drink. I think he accredited his liver problems to NSAIDs. classy.

I’m not really up on his story . But I just read an article where he said he wasn’t a heavy drinker . Mainly whine and such . I don’t know either way.

If he was a drinker he missed an opportunity to own it and maybe save the next Geno. Really sad .

Praying for his family either way.

His liver was ravaged from OTC pain meds.

People like him are the reason they drastically scaled back Tylenol doses relatively recently. They can really fricking wreck your liver long term.

I used to take a shite ton of tylenol as a kid, and I have impaired liver function still as an adult. Not anything serious but still.

I used to take Goody’s powder for headaches because it worked like a charm. Then my liver enzymes spiked during a routine blood test and I think the only time I’ve taken one since was when I had a really bad sinus infection. Acetaminophen plus drinking, especially, can tank you in a hurry.

NSAIDS are worse on the kidneys. Maybe you are talking about acetaminophen??

NSAIDs are not hepatotoxic.

Very sad. I thought he was the DT from UGA that played for Cincy?
