119 pitches on Saturday followed by another 28 today.

Absolutely genius move too. Poor kid only gave up 2 home runs.

I’m sure he’ll be ready to start the super no problem.

28 pitches on 2 days rest isn't a big deal.

Sure when you’re a reliever that throws every couple days and only throws 10-25 pitches an outing. This isn’t game 7 of the WS. He’s not set for life with millions in the bank.

What is regular cycle in modern times?

Pitch day 110 or less ( depends on pitcher I guess)

2 days later bullpen 30 pitches

Pitch next weekend?

College?

6-7 days rest. Bullpen usually 3 days.

A light BP session vs a high stress in game appearance is quite different.

Nikhazy isn’t a beta male from A&M so he should be fine

If he was a power pitcher I might be concerned. This isn’t a big deal. We’ve used every left ace weve had like this. Rollison did it in the SEC tourney and Regionals on consecutive weeks.
