As a major overall underdog. Let's not pretend that we haven't done PLENTY of damage in this tournament over the years.

When was the last time LSU did jackshit in the SEC tourney?

Lulz.

At what point have you been better than us in the past 15 years? Never? That's what I thought.

One rebuilding year after being the 3rd most successful team in the SEC over the past decade and a half = an eternity of shittiness!!1!1 Got to love piggie logic.

And Ray is 2-1 vs Martin

So by this logic, Freeze must be better than Mullen, agreed? Since, you know, he is 1-0 against him. Come on man, Ray is a good coach and did a better than expected job especially in the past few weeks, but nobody in the CBB world realistically believes Ray is better than Martin. Unless you wear Maroon.

ETA: That's not to say he could turn out to be better, but at this point it's Martin ahead.

Really? 3 of SCs best players were a Frosh, a football player, and a Lithuanian.

In a couple years Martin will have us rolling. We already have a 4* start commit for next season, a former 4* transfer from Nova coming in next season and we already have a 4* committed in the next cycle.

And let's be honest, 2-1 with an OT win isn't exactly something to declare supremacy with when you're talking about the 13 and 14th teams in conference.

Give yourselves some credit. Neither of you finished 14th.

Frank Martin came with high credentials and a full roster of scholarship players.

lulz, hang yourself for being such a dumbass, will you?

Martin lost his two key big men to transfer, plus was already short of schollie players, plus had to wait for Bruce Ellington to arrive in January.

Besides, stooopid question ... "which coach is better in their first year."

But we Gamecock fans do appreciate you being Cocksessed and using our first year coach as your standard and the one you would hope to emulate.

Why do you feel the need to bag on Arkansas?

Here is the deal.....State reached its pinnacle of basketball...that consisted of hanging SEC West banners, not much else. Nothing to show on the stage that matters.

State is arguably the next to worst basketball program in the SEC West historically, so you should be happy with what success you had under Stansbury. Lets not go overboard though and start banging on LSUs and Arkansas' programs. Both have shown a much, much higher ceiling than State.

This year going forward judging by that blowout in Fayetteville.

Stansburry isn't bring sitting on that bench or bringing players to play on the court.

The death of Ms. State's program, no more SEC West "Championships" for you.

And lulzzzz, at the last 15 year argument from you

Last 15 seasons

State
NCAAs: 5
Deepest Run: 2nd rd

Arkansas
NCAAs: 7
Deepest Run: 2nd rd

LSU
NCAAs: 5
Deepest Run: Final Four

That's pretty shitty to be hanging your hat on and attacking other programs who have been dancing more, or have made longer runs in the tourney. Also, arguably the worst time frame in Arkansas basketball history since the late 1950's and they still have been to more tourneys in the last 15 years.

If winning 2 out of 3 head to head is all it takes to be a superior program, than UCA has proven repeatedly to be superior with their walk-ons.

Lulz... Yeah, the final 4 was a complete accident** On the backs of MS and ALA kids the last time we had a real coach (who surrounded himself with recruiters) instead of being a recruiter who did not surround himself with real coaches.

At any rate, we've been good for all of the modern era in basketball. This quote is tantamount to saying "Florida is gonna fall apart without Spurrier" since they weren't a powerhouse before 1990.

Oh, and bullshite -- and just more proof that you don't have a DAMN clue what you are talking about. We would likely have multiple national titles in basketball if not for OM segregation laws that we had to defy to compete in the NCAA tournament -- at the end of a 5 year run of dominating the conference -- with the 4th best of those 5 teams. Watch our upcoming 30 for 30 -- it's probably the only way Arkansas fans will ever understand this history.

Link?

You'd better think again, since LSU has shown no higher ceiling. Arkansas was good 20 years ago with a coach they ran out of town -- and has been irrelevant as hell ever since. Now his protege is in year 3, inherited a pretty damn talented roster, and you are still making excuses for him. Meanwhile, you've got the longest sweet 16 drought in the west and 2nd longest in the SEC overall.

What's wrong with celebrating while you are still undefeated? No one was seriously saying we are going to have an undefeated season or anything.

Hell using that logic Kentucky may have had a few more championships had they not played in the SEC at the time. Rupp recruited Wes Unseld, Butch Beard, and Jim McDaniels but because they didn't feel comfortable playing in the SEC and traveling to the South that didn't happen.
