Rick Ray a better coach than Frank Martin?

Many people, including myself questioned the hiring of Rick Ray last year. He had to endure 2 transfers 2 players declaring for the draft having to kick 2 players off the team for breaking team rules and losing 4 players to season ending Injuries. He has had to play with 6 or 7 scholarship players for most of the season.
Frank Martin came with high credentials and a full roster of scholarship players.
After 3 head to head games Rick Ray has th 2-1 advantage.
Having to play this guy extended minutes.

Martin went to the tourney 4 out of 5 years at K state, and has an elite 8 appearance.

What was Ray's record? If I had to bet Martin will take USC farther than Ray will state.

Martin is recruiting way ahead of Ray, so not only is he a better coach, he's getting better talent for the future.

Why couldn't he beat a Mississippi State team with 6 scholarship players and not a single returning who had EVER played in the SEC tournament before

Doesn't South Carolina only have 8 scholarship players and one of them is a WR for the football team, so really only 7?

Do you realize what Ray had to work with this year? Do realize he lost 4 players to season ending injuries and started 3 freshmen for most of the year.
We lose nobody off this team and are bringing in 6 new players.

Unlike Auburn over the past 3 years under Barbee we actually showed Improvement and our coaching staff stresses player development.
We had 2 FR make the SEC all freshman team and have 2 good PG recruits coming in next year.

Meh, so 8 scholarship basketball players, a bunch of young players, and a roster that lost multiple players to transfers.
Season was a wash, didn't SC finish ahead of MSU in the standings? Which is really what matters, not head to head.
Not to mention Martin outrecruiting Ray by a mile for 2013 and 2014.
