Obviously both new coaches have won a bunch of huge games. Both fanbases are 100% behind the new guy.

Which team made the bigger upgrade?

Georgia and Richt. He’s actually won his division.

Orgeron has made me realize how bad Miles really was. I still think Richt was a good coach.

Kirby made the NCG.

I'm not sure O has even finished top3 in their own division.

Where’s Bama’s next upgrade going to come from?

So far Smart has had much the same results as Richt did with the one caveat being the NC game. Obviously if that was a win then I think Smart is clearly the bigger upgrade.

It’s too early to say what Orgeron is. Obviously it seems like we will be much improved this year, but until the record is on the paper we can’t say we improved. We have improved some from the later years of Miles’ tenure and like the Georgia side the feeling of the program is gaining positivity and we are just waiting on the results. I’d say it’s a tossup but I would lean Georgia if only for the NC game.

If we are talking about potential improvement and not improvement based on results already set in stone I would say O, just because there was more upward trajectory to be had.

O hasn't even come close to the success Miles had here. When O wins a Natty, plays for 2, with 2 SEC titles.... We can make a thread about an upgrade.

I'm hopeful for this year... But great recruiting classes and high hopes were here before O. Also, let's not forget our offense with Mettenburger, Beckham, landry, and Jeremy Hill.

Slow the f down.

If only they could play a game to settle it.

Oh yeah, 36-16.

Georgia, for now. Pretty easy answer based on SEC titles and CFP appearances.

Georgia so far, although LSU games are more enjoyable to watch since O took over. Some of Les’s games were like watching a 4 hour prostate exam.

What kind of head coach could let his team have such an embarrassing performance?

Richt was a very good coach and an even better individual. He averaged 10 wins/season @UGA...despite only winning 2 SEC titles, he had 3 teams that were on the cusp of being in position to win national titles. It just didn't fall his way.

UGA was honored and blessed to have had him.

Coach gets the nod based on last year and the beginning of this year.

He's gonna lose Aranda and Brady either next year or after this season and I'd be curious to see how he does without em.

Kirby lost both coordinators last year and seems to have found solid replacements.
