Because rowing was a better option.

Really makes you wonder what's in the water down there for women's sports to be better supported than the actual sports men play.

When men's basketball starts actually playing basketball, it will be supported. Football and baseball has no problem with support.

But a number of men's sports have declined. We used to know some of the male gymnasts by name (Kurt Thomas), men's volleyball (Karch Kiraly), etc. Now those sports are dead.

Those guys were only known because they were Olympic Gold medalists in an Olympics held in the United States.

Really not sure if Title IX is the culprit, but sports like wrestling and track and field have basically died in the last thirty or forty years.

I think it's because the numbers in rowing replaces the numbers in gymnastics. The main resource is the free river. Gymnastics costs a lot in psychologist and insurance costs. With the dropping of the wrestling program, the female rowing, soccer and volleyball help to offset the male football numbers.

Pretty sure it was insurance not gym equipment that was the cost factor.

I'll bet y'all are probably some rowing motherfrickers once the banjo music starts playing.

That was Georgia.

When Oklahoma's team joins the competition next year, the SEC will be adding the best program in the NCAA.

Yeah, I’ve seen her. She’s apparently very good.

My question stands…

Technically, Deliverance was shot in Georgia...but I get the gist.

You know I am just kidding mmv.

I am a big fan of the state and people of Tennessee. Beautiful place, and I did know that it was filmed in Georgia and reserve the right to use that info against my UGa buddies.

I used to work in Tennessee ... outside Knoxville. Trust me - plenty of those ladies are amateur gymnasts.
