aggy obsession with ‘t-shirt fans’ is weird. If we are being honest, Bama probably has the most. Texas has a bunch circa Vince Young. USC had a lot in the 2000’s. Miami has a pretty big pack of them. Winners attract t-shirt fans.

That’s probably why aggy doesn’t have many wandering the streets these days.

A&M beating Alabama in Tuscaloosa in their first season in the SEC is truly one of the most remarkable achievements so far this century in college football.

I'm an A&M fan - that means I attended A&M. You are an LSU fan - for all anyone knows you could work at 7-eleven. That is the nature of a t-shirt fanbase

I'm sure you must think fans of pro sports teams have to live in the city the team represents too.

The very nature of having t-shirt fans requires accomplishments others outside of the university find admirable and worth attaching themselves to.

Are you sure you’re not just insulting yourself and A&M when you say A&M has no such fans?

Thats an interesting way to look at it and it has to hurt. No one could love A&M except for an alum

Hurt? I'm glad trash like that doesn't represent my school.

I agree here, and honestly, it's is silly to think that we wouldn't have our share idiot fans or former students being that large of a university.

t-shirt sales ought to bring in some revenue.

You're glad you dont win enough to have acquired even a small segment of bandwagon or t-shirt fans?

Fish Camp is entirely voluntary and student-run.
Most freshmen are eager to attend; unfortunately, spacing is limited; so many are unable to go.
Bravo on your internet burn, though!

This is one of the strangest of the lame A&M retorts on this board.

My all time favorite is being a Texas fan = t-shirt fan. No ifs ands or buts. As if nobody ever attended that school and graduated lol

That and the "why are you here" posts. But they only do that when they're insanely flustered and basically conceding defeat, so it's honestly just funnier to read than anything else.

So any non-grad = t-shirt fan = trash

Pray tell, what are your rules regarding kids wearing aggy merch?

Exactly. There’s t-shirt fans for every school. I’ve worked in some very poor areas of the city and state where many people can’t afford college or it isn’t in their lifestyle. Those people rocked the shite out of the Horns when Vince was leading UT to Rose Bowl wins. Those same people repped the number 2 jersey in maroon when Manziel was dripping with swag.

Not sure why Coloradoaggy is bent out of shape about marketing and what kind of money and publicity it brings your school.

...I’ve seen grads that are trashy as well. I can’t think of any SEC school other than a&m that frowns upon these t-shirt fans. Their money goes to your school one way or another. Some of these same fans spend loads going to games and enjoying the atmosphere. Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Tennessee, Kentucky, Arkansas are known for having their fans throughout the state, alums or not. Some of those people live and die with Wildcat hoops and Tide football, etc. Why frown upon that?
