Just curious as to the attrition across the league. Obviously the rapid departures from LSU's team are well documented, but plenty of talent left on the roster to make a legitimate push for a repeat championship. Key for us is going to be how well Brennan plays and getting adequate LB play.

LSU - 3 Offense, 5 Defense
OT - Austin Deculus
WR - Ja'Marr Chase
WR - Terrace Marshall
DE - Glen Logan
NT - Tyler Shelvin
OLB - Damone Clark
FS - Jacoby Stevens
CB - Derek Stingley

Bama - 7 Offense, 5 Defense

LT - Alex Leatherwood
LG - Evan Neal
C - Landon Dickerson
RG - Deonte Brown
RB - Najee Harris
WR - Devonta Smith
WR - Jaylen Waddle
MLB - Dylan Moses
MLB - Christian Harris
CB - Patrick Surtain
NG - DJ Dale
DE - Labryan Ray

Arkansas - Offense - 8/9, Defense - 7
QB: KJ Jefferson
RB: Rakeem Boyd
WR: Treylon Burks
WR: Trey Knox
Slot: Mike Woods
LT: Myron Cunningham
C: Ty Clary
RG: Ricky Stromberg
RT: Dalton Wagner
DE: Dorian Gerald
LB: Bumper Pool
LB: Hayden Henry
S: Joe Foucha
CB: Jarques McClellion
CB: Montaric Brown
Nickel: Greg Brooks Jr.

LSU is losing a ton on both sides of the ball. They also lost Aranda and Brady. I don't think there will be some massive drop off where they finish lower than 3rd in the west but I think they finish 8-4

I'm not sure 8-4 would be good for third in the west, but I could be mistaken. LSU, Alabama, and Georgia are all losing a ton, so I could see Florida or Auburn making a run this year. I could see another 10-2 type season for us with a win over Texas and going 1-2 against the heavy hitters on our schedule?

How's it looking for y'all? If Plumlee improves his accuracy, y'all could be a dangerous team.

Ed Ingram is a starter. Kary Vincent and Todd Harris as well.

LSU loses more than most, but analyses like this are more accurate when you count snaps.

Alabama will probably be the best team in the SEC next season

How do y'all feel about Mac Jones? Can he get it done against tougher competition than Arkansas and Western Carolina?

He should.

He threw two pick sixes against Auburn that lost y'all the game. And I must admit, I was too hungover from the Peach Bowl to watch/care about the Citrus Bowl.

ETA: Looks like the game plan was throw it to Jeudy and pray?

This is such a terrible take.

Against Auburn and Michigan he was 42 for 64 with 7 TDs and 2 INTs.

Alabama scored 80 points.

The 2 interceptions were tragic, especially the play to Najee. If you want to act like that 1 throw is going to doom the 2020 Crimson Tide, idk what to tell you.

Yeah dude. He had whopping 26 yards and 0 TDs in the 45 point effort against Auburn. Waddle and Smith had ~190 and 3 TDs.

If he's not the best passer on the team then he shouldn't. I honestly expect Corral or Tisdale to be the starter. However, if Plumlee can improve his accuracy and arm strength a bit, he could be in the running for it. He is fast and a good runner. That's about it.

Just seems like a guy that electric should have the ball in his hands every play.

What I see out of Mac Jones is an unheralded guy who didn't have any offers from top football schools and he's losing over half of his receiving production. I could very well be wrong, but it looks to me like Jones gets his yards and TDs by throwing underneath routes and letting his receivers make plays to break them for big gains. Simply curious as to how you expect him to perform without Jeudy and Riggs.

Arkansas

Offense: 8/9

QB: KJ Jefferson (one of 5 QBs who started we might get Feleipe Franks though and he will likely start but nothing official yet so counting KJ for now)
RB: Rakeem Boyd
WR: Treylon Burks
WR: Trey Knox
Slot: Mike Woods
LT: Myron Cunningham
C: Ty Clary (probably moves to LG with Notre Dame transfer Luke Jones coming in to play center)
RG: Ricky Stromberg
RT: Dalton Wagner (not sure if he starts next year, could get beat out)

Defense: 7

DE: Dorian Gerald (missed most of last year with injury)
LB: Bumper Pool
LB: Hayden Henry
S: Joe Foucha
CB: Jarques McClellion (think he gets beat out though)
CB: Montaric Brown
Nickel: Greg Brooks Jr.

I expect him to be a slightly more mistake-prone McCarron.

Doubt he’s as good as him but the way offenses produce now, it’ll look similar because it’s not all that difficult to get a passing game going.

I predict Smith and Waddle will out produce Ruggs and Jeudy from this season.

I predict Mac will be more than fine with 4 linemen returning + Najee and Trey Sanders.

Mac Jones was our starter for 5 games. so that constitutes a returner in my books.
