We've never had anything but a slap on the wrist, so there's that.

Never had to forfeit a game, give up money, or pay hush money to former coaches.

Well, that's not as bad as I would've thought. I imagined something SMU-esque was going down or something. $500 "enticements" were probably par for the course across the SEC during the 1950s.

AUs first serious probation was 1956-1957 and a result of two Bama assistant coaches both reporting AU and hiring a private detective to try to get something on AU after losing a recruiting battle for a Qb from hueytown named Donald fuell.

It was extremely circumstantial and would never have resulted inanything today.
