We're keeping him. Get behind it or stfu. Our fans bitching and moaning will only hurt recruiting and not help.

Poors. They can't afford to fire him.

Auburn boosters put the school they love so dearly into a lose-lose situation and set the program back for years to come. Outstanding

Auburn has some of the richest dumbest boosters, they did this same thing a couple years ago with “stoops to Auburn.”

I don't have a problem with him staying a week ago. I thought he was getting rid of Gus's deadwood. I have a bigger problem with Gogue and Greene on how they handled this. They tied Harsin's hands and just delayed the inevitable.

How pathetic at backroom dealings do you have to be to lose a coup against a coach with no pull, no power players in his corner and no ties to the school or region?

Good lawd Auburn's money guys are idiots.

Maybe they realized their bank accounts are getting low.

As repayment, Harsin should hire Jimmy Sexton (if he hasn’t already), who should start courting suitors, and then enter into contract renegotiations in the middle of summer.

This is genius and if I was harsin I'd do it

Auburn University is reportedly expected to retain Bryan Harsin as its head football coach despite an investigation into his handling of the program. According to ESPN's Pete Thamel and Chris Low, Auburn is planning to make an official announcement regarding Harsin remaining with the team Friday.

I think the Auburn/Harsin situation is like the Gus Fring/Walter White situation after the shite hit the fan. Auburn would cut ties in a heartbeat but the cost is just too high.

Stupid to keep him after this imo. You have basically either revealed dirty laundry of and/or lied about an employee and then are paying him millions of dollars to run your program afterward.

Yea but if the affair didn't happen, what kind of precedent does firing him set? No coach worth a shite would wanna touch that job with a 10 foot poll. Auburn wouldn't be able to offer a competitive salary and you know that the boosters are a bunch of shady dickheads that will run a smear campaign to overthrow you

Not to mention that, but if the alleged affair is part of the justfication, they set themselves up for massive lawsuits by the young lady toward everyone involved.

She could make a killing, and she would not even have to prove harm was done...

"The four types of slander per se-which do not require a plaintiff to prove special harm to recover-are as follows: 1) false statements imputing criminal behavior to the plaintiff; 2) false allegations that the plaintiff is currently suffering from a venereal or other loathsome or communicable disease; 3) false allegations adversely reflecting on the plaintiff's fitness to conduct his/her business, profession, trade or office; and 4) false allegations accusing the plaintiff of sexual misconduct."

So no one knows who started the affair rumors, but now those anonymous statements can be attributed to everyone involved in the decisions on Harsin for the sake of a defamation claim?

I’ve seen enough of your posts to know that you already know that’s not how it works. You’re just stirring shite.

Who exactly is she going to file suit against?

Who exactly is the source of the affair rumor?

I believe that Bryan Harsin will be retained as the Auburn head football coach. Alignment will be critical moving forward. Adjustments from all sides will be necessary.

LOFL! "Alignment" from both sides will be critical?

When a program's entire operating system has been compromised, there's no coming back from shite like this. That AU Administration ain't about to adjust shite for Harsin & his staff down the road.

Resources will be available for discovery. If there was foul play, a litigation team will be relentless in pursuit.

You and i both know that nothing is ever deleted. It will have to vanish or be evidence.

Yeah, might as well try supporting him and see if that works out.

Can’t just wildly use discovery for a fishing expedition or file a defamation claim with nothing just hoping you’ll find something in discovery.

Yeah the only entity I could potentially see her have an in against is maybe 247 or Rivals or some other message board host for not deleting posts about it. But I seriously doubt that'd actually go anywhere.

Harsin needs to be at the game Saturday and the gym/Pearl/etc show lots of support on National tv. There is no good play book to deal with this self inflicted PR wound, but they better pull out all the stops to give him a chance.

Need to get Barkley in on it

Maybe even a Jimmy Rane dunking both at halftime

So go overboard and fabricate a show of support on national TV in an effort to make the viewing audience just forget the circus y'all have had on display for the last week?

Green or Gogue has to get in front of a camera first and set the narrative after admitting the mistakes/issues of the last week. I would put green on the set with game day, and answer a handful of hard questions and then do what ADs do and spin the narrative for the future that aligns with what the country will see on tv during the game.

Again, there is no perfect recipe, but you can’t just ignore everything.

Yep, I forgot about that jewel. I remember J.Tate & that damn idiot Josh Moon (coming out of hiding) reporting from the AU AD minute-by-minute updates of Gus behind closed doors with the Administration & Harbert working on a reduction in Gus' buyout.
