It’s my first trip and wondering what would be the best way to get around town while there. Flying in Friday and out Monday

Where are you staying? The airport is 10 minutes from the heart of everything. It’s a small town. Think Starkville. You don’t need a car to get around unless you got a hotel in BFE.

Staying at the new Victorian Inn and Suites. The hotels close to everything are booked

It’s on the western side of town

I am kind of old-fashioned, so I pretty much always still rent cars...particularly around big events that are likely to suck up all of the rideshare services.

All of that for one game? We drove when we went. Not sure Uber was a thing in 13. But, it's a great town. Don't know our game time or day, but The Blatt - a sports' bar just beyond right field is a must go. Surely, it's still there.

The Blatt is still there. It was usually over crowded so we didn’t go there much last year. We hung out mostly at the old mattress factory bar. They turned the entire parking lot around it into one giant party. It was a blast

quote:We went for the finals in 13. Maroon overtook the place. UCLA and their 200 fans had one little room reserved (kind of sad, really) but SEC teams that stay late make all the stuff near the stadium crowded. Mattress Factory was a couple of block away, as I recall but we did lunch there one of the days. There are some nice restaurants in the revitalized part of down town too. Don't remember the name of it.

Uber. Cheap and plenty of stuff to do downtown. I hate driving tho. Plus you run a better chance of an Uber driver giving you some pointers on what the locals like.

Ubered all last year. No problems and not expensive.

You can have Texas' reserved rooms in Omaha.
Don't think we will be needing them this year.
