ESPN doing everything they can to keep COVID relevant. The camera panning the crowd doesn't help that.

But there’s a new dangerous Covid variant bruh. That’s what Fauci said anyway.

Pan to bullpen and mr remote announcer says “such and such is up and warming”. Yeah. We all see that too. If you were in the stadium you could have told us ten minutes ago when he got up and started getting loose.

i have a theory that they realized how much money they are saving on hotel rooms, rental cars, and per diems that this may be the new normal. Some of these guys can do a couple per day from the comfort of their home. I wouldnt be surprised if this is the new normal.

A lot of businesses are letting their people stay home permannent as they can save cost on office rent. My younger brother may never have to return to his office. There will be a lot of office vacancies in sky rises across the country going forward.

Fox has been doing this for quite a while for some of their lesser college games. ESPN had resisted the urge until covid, but that gave the executives the perfect excuse to save money.

Remote announcing was already happening before Covid. Those Tuesday night MAC football games were all remote announced. It sucks.

Covid was just the excuse. It's about money. Being able to virtue signal about it is a bonus.

Are these announcer announcing multiple games? Is this ESPN’s way to be cheapskates to save money and not have to spend money on flights, food, hotels for these announcers?

Seen a mask? Because I haven’t seen anyone who wasn’t virtue signaling wearing a mask since school got out. Except a few places who still require their employees to wear them.

This will be like fast food dining rooms being closed, They’ll claim it’s covid related when it’s really just an excuse to cut costs.

They’re not doing it for COVID at this point. All of these states have been opened up. They’re doing it to save money.

Agreed. ESPN and Disney are about as liberal as you will find though. They don't subscribe to common sense and logic, therefore, you will probably see this dumb shite for the remainder of this season.
