Remember that day when Auburn hired Kevin Steele and LSU got Aranda?

LSU fans were laughing at Auburn, but I would say these transactions worked well for both programs

Agreed.

The Steele Curtain has done well.

Don't recall LSU fans laughing though.

lets see how Steele does when he doesn't have those defensive linemen. Same as lets see how this new LSU offense operates when Joe Burrow is no longer at LSU.

Steele has exceeded expectations. Auburn’s defense has been fantastic

Cool. What's your record against LSU since then?

Amazing what a talented D line can do for a defense.

I also remember when Miles hired Steele and nearly every LSU fan and fan of other SEC schools said it was a terrible hire. I think everyone was proven wrong. Also, after his one season at LSU, most reasonable LSU fans understood he was good and were sorry to see him go. The Aranda hire helped ease the loss though.

For you, yes it has worked well. He was just not that good when on the LSU sideline/booth.

I'd say it worked out better for Auburn. LSU has been giving up a ton of points this year.

The Clemson people I know were laughing, but he has done an absolutely top-notch job for Auburn. He's been great this time around.

That’s just not true. Steele was good at LSU considering what he had to work with in just one season.

Yeah, we did. Our defense was so bad under Steele, from what I can remember, and for what we were used to at the time. Steele has been fantastic at AU, but I do remember us laughing when you hired him.

Apparently, what you know about football and specifically LSU football can fit in a thimble.

I didn’t laugh. I praised Steele both as a coach and as a man. He’s very highly regarded everywhere he has worked ( besides Baylor).
