Reggie Perry has declared for the NBA draft via Instagram.
Perry was one of the top 4 players in the conference. Perry has physically abused Arkansas for the last 2 years.

You'll never win a natty at State if your level of success is determined by Arkansas.

Nah, their 96 team was pretty damned good. Would have taken the SEC that year from what is considered a normal level of good for Kentucky team. Instead, they had the shitty luck of having the greatest team in Kentucky history in the SEC that year. I say this in all sincerity. And they still beat us for one of our only 2 losses. The other loss came against the guy we have coaching us now. They were fricking legit and could have won the natty.

Really bad decision on his part IMO.
I think he is going to be a tremendous NBA player one day but I am afraid he is not going to be even drafted this year or may end up being a low 2nd round pick and end up in Europe or the D or G league or whatever they call it.
With the team that State has coming back next year, with him, we could make a deep run in the NCAA and I think he could be a lottery pick . This year players who were on his level (NBA type players , Richards especially just flat out were better than him).
His emotional maturity is lacking and while physically he is strong , he still struggled down low against the talented big men he faced (again similar to what he will face in the NBA).
At the end of the day I wish him well and I hope I am wrong.

Hell, do y’all even have any players coming back next year? Perry is like the 5th or 6th one to leave the program. What is Howland doing over there to run everybody off?

4 out of 5 were expected if you include Perry. Howland doesn't want players that won't contribute and gives them chances elsewhere. I expect to get some transfers but we will be lucky to maintain what we've been doing lately. These momentum shifts within every season make it hard to follow. Why anyone thinks Perry should return is beyond me.

His cash flow from State must have ran dry.
One thing I will say about Perry, he's been a real professional his entire college career.
