If you look hard enough you'll see Shula and one year of Dubose dragging down Alabama's average.

If it's based on the ranking when the game is played, A&M has 9 wins.

2000 - #8 Kansas State
2002 - #1 Oklahoma
2010 - #8 Oklahoma
2010 - #9 Nebraska
2012 - at #1 Alabama
2014 - at #9 South Carolina
2014 - at #3 Auburn
2016 - #9 Tennessee
2018 - #7 LSU

You can't have it both ways.

LSU had three straight national championship winning coaches, which the LSU base likes reminding everyone.

Mike Shula's biggest accomplishment was beating Florida in Tuscaloosa. Mike Price got laid. So did Dubose. Fran left for aTm. Given how bad it was for a solid five years (3-8 and 4-9 mixed with 6-7 or 7-6), I'm surprised LSU isn't ahead by more.

Yet Bammers tell us how their next head coach will just pick up where Nick leaves off.

We got lucky to get Saban. We had a persistent AD who wouldn't take no.

I trust Greg Byrne to make the right hire given what Alabama has to offer.

I mean they could lose 25 years straight to lsu and still have a winning record over them
