Real Reason for WW being reinstated

LSU saw the BB program disintegrating with the transfers and NBA declarations. With the possibility of the NCAA investigation hanging over their heads, it would be impossible to hire a new coach at this time. Now they can allow WW to go back to the team and talk a few players from transferring or going Pro, they will be able to field a team next year while the process starts. By that time WW guilt or innocence will be well known. They can conduct a coaching search in a timely manner. It will effect recruiting this year, but it is the best scenario for a bad situation.

IMO that would be worse than actually getting that players some money.

Unless there is definitive evidence of his innocence, LSU would have normally kept him suspended. But with the reinstatement, there would have been evidence that there wasn't any NCAA violations involved. By not seeing that and having the reinstatement, you can only come to the conclusion that this was just a stay of execution for WW and the BB program until the Supreme Court (NCAA) makes their determination.

It's like Christmas morning in April here.

Did you really just make a comparison between the supreme court and the NCAA?

When it comes to your Collegiate Athletic Programs, yes.

A bit of a stretch but if you think so.

Keep that wet dream going buddy...
Seems to be a lot of SEC people other than LSU are hoping for the negative to happen for coach Wade which is comical to what IS reality going forward...
That situation was the SEC's Only chance to get rid of IMO the start of a decade of dominance in basketball by LSU and they all fricking know it!!!

OP, nothing wrong with your synopsis at this point as there is no legal proof for LSU to use to fire Wade with cause. At this point, all that is "known" is what a criminal defense atty leaked to a sports blogger. What could his motive possibly be?? Too, no one has heard a tape as all that has been provided, by the blogger, are a few written sentences, nothing in context prior or post sentences. What was released, through a blogger, was exactly what the defense atty wanted released. Of course LSU wanted some closure, for now, as if they fire Wade with this lack of proof, Wade files suit and this mess goes on and on. Wade could even TRY for an injunction to stop LSU from hiring another HC. Evidence does come up down the road, as you suggests and he is fired.

It's because of recruiting ...

Alleva was very transparent on why he was suspended and why he is back.

You are not well informed. There is not a single player transferring except for Daryl Edwards who hardly played this year and received a medical redshirt. With the exception of Waters and Naz, the other guys simply put their names in to get an evaluation.

Only one player is transferring and he announced that midseason after getting injured.
Reid and Waters were expected to leave before the season started. The other 3 most likely are just going through the draft process for the experience and Emmitt Williams has already publicly stated this.

Those who do not like what they see from the NBA will enter the Transfer Portal if things look muddy at LSU. But you keep telling everyone that everything is fine.

Not saying he is guilty or innocent, but if there is any possibility of guilt, LSU normally would have kept him suspended. Things turned when 5 players declared for the NBA, which we know is not going to happen with all. But the message was sent by the players that the next step was transferring. LSU did what they did to keep the program together until all the facts were in.
