So you are saying teams like Mizzou and BYU in basketball are relevant because they make the NCAA tournament a lot but have never done what matters once in the bracket?
Comparisons and analogies are not your strong suit. Not that you actually HAVE a strong suit...
We've make 7 "sweet 16s", 4 elite 8s, 1 final 4 in the past 20 years.
BYU has 1 sweet 16, 0 elite 8s, 0 final 4s in the past 20 years.
Mizzou has 2 sweet 16s, 2 elite 8s, 0 final 4s in the past 20 years.
Yeah...those 3 teams are SO very similar...

Said every MSU fan about Bertman in 1985. We know how that one worked out.
I'm sure you'll be the first on the Fire Mainieri bandwagon this time next year...

All I see is participation ribbons for each, but at least Mizzou and BYU are getting them in a relevant sport.

lets face it you guys got a good draw in the CWS with your side of the bracket.
Yea but we had a tough draw in the Regional and Super Regional. Plus OSU is a damn good team..Indiana is pretty solid also.
Cohen has had us in the right direction for a few years now..2 years ago we were one win away from making the CWS.
Last year won the SECt and over 40 games.
This year we hosted, won over 40 games, breezed through the Regional and Supers, and is now sitting 2-0 in Omaha with a great shot at making the championship series, and even a pretty good shot at winning it which would be a level that this program never reached under Polk, though it got close many times.
We are getting better and better each year as Cohen's program is implemented. He is right up there in coaching ability with Manieri, DVH, Corbin, etc. especially considering his limited resources.

What is Arkansas doing in a "relevant sport" besides getting their arse kicked by us yearly every time they've come to our house in the last 14 years?
Oh wait -- Nolan Richardson is walking through those doors isn't he! 40 Minutes offff HEYYYLLLLL weeeewwwww soooieeeee

How many games has Ms. State football won in the state of Arkansas since the game was invented?

Its scaled because of limited resources.

You aren't very good at counting are you?
Best LSU team in history. 2 and Q.
All is well -- remain calm!!!

So, congrats for beating us at your place?
That doesn't matter. 15-20 years ago we were one of the top programs in the nation, because that is what we are basing arguments on here right? 15-20 years ago....in States case, closer to 30?

State doesn't have a program to compare to the illustrious past of our Basketball program.

You're 1 win from the finals and all you're thinking of is LSU. Like I said with Bama football and UK bball, I get it. I accept the compliment

What is State up to now, 4 conference winning seasons since 2003?
No conference title in over two decades. Passed up by South Carolina, Georgia, LSU, Alabama, Arkansas, Florida in the pecking order of baseball.
Even when you finally win a game at the CWS for the first time in 15 years, all of you have to start a thread like this to check and see if you are relevant.

This is a pretty good comparison --- other than the fact that we are in the Final 4 right now -- and you haven't been to the Sweet 16 in 17 years. I'd say that makes us pretty fricking relevant to the here and now.
Yeahhhh -- Arky fans have already READILY conceded that they are irrelevant in basketball now -- We hear it all the time on here

Correct. My jimmies are rustled that we didn't get to go through you this postseason and build on the trend we started last year.

So your baseball team is one of the last 4 teams left. And? Arkansas has done that twice since 2009. LSU has done it. South Carolina has done it 3 times since 2009. Florida has done it.
I don't recall retard fans of theirs claiming their coach is now the GOAT.
As for basketball, Arkansas won a title, played for another. State baseball has done neither in its "illustrious" history....Hell, even Arkansas has played in the championship of the CWS.

So the final four is a big deal in baseball, because that is as far as Ms. State can make it?
Sweet16s don't mean shite when you win NCs.
So how many NCs has Ms. State won in Football, basketball, and baseball combined?

Mitch Gaspard is trying hard to make sure that's not the case.
But we do have a regular season conference title in baseball since State last won one. 2006 vs 1989...
